ARRL Field Day
ARRL Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 31,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations.
Guam-Marianas Amateur Radio Club will be participating in ARRL Field Day 2025 on the June 29th, 2025 operating the club call sign AH2G. We will be operating at the Marianas Yacht Club in Piti. Heading South on Rt 1 Marine Corps Drive: Head South on Rt 1, go past the power plant and associated light. The next light will be Nimitz hill, go straight through this light. Make the next right at the sign that says “Atlantis”. Go straight until you see a tower on the left, and make the left onto the dirt road. Head to the end and you have arrived at the Marian Yacht Club.
Heading North on Rt 1 Marine Corps Drive: Head North on Rt 1 from Navy Base Guam. On the right, you will see the fuel farm. Make the next leftt at the sign that says “Atlantis”. If you get to the light next to the Veterans Cemetery, you’ve gone too far. Go straight until you see a tower on the left, and make the left onto the dirt road. Head to the end and you have arrived at the Marian Yacht Club.
I will be assisting with our local field day June 28-29 from PARC in North Carolina, and although I let my call WH2ABI expire, I am working to get it back.
I used to help moderating the Pacific Inter Island Traffic Net back in 1981 on 14,315 @ 0800 zulu.
What frequencies might you be working that I might try to make a contact during that time?
